Zen is often thought of as a male-dominated domain. Buddhists, especially older or more traditional ones, may be accused of misogyny. The Buddha himself was accused of having doubts about women joining he Sangha. These views may not be inaccurate, but they don't reflect the reality of the history and current Zen practice.
